Australian Idol

todayiamadaisyI don't like reality TV. I've never seen Big Brother. I've never seen Survivor. But I got sucked into watching Australian Idol last year (although I'm not far enough gone to actually vote or buy any of their horrible music). And right now I've got a big silly grin on my face because I just watched Casey win this year's competition.
I actually didn't really mind who won out of Casey and Anthony - I like both of them, not like last year when I was really, really hoping Shannon wouldn't win (and he didn't!). I thought Anthony would win though, simply because he seems to have been bred in a pod for the express purpose of winning competitions like this. So to see the sixteen-year-old Goth-lite (who doesn't seem to have been the happiest little Vegemite before this) get up and win... well, I didn't realize I was quite so invested.
