A Prayer for Love

Here is a headline I enjoyed this week:

Faf Lollyline tamper claim

It does make sense if you know the story, but, really, just let the random words wash over you.

This weekend I have been at my photography course. This was just one day of several, but this is the one that coincided with that cheese-making course, so I had to choose between the two. I'm sure the cheese would have been good, but I am glad I chose the photography course. These community classes can be a bit hit and miss, but the man taking this one is a former photography lecturer at the university, now retired, so he knows what he's about.

I went to the library yesterday. I don't normally, but I was driving my mother and she wanted to go, so I went too and picked a few books. I must be in relaxed mode, because all the things that jumped out at me were crime and mysteries, the sort of things I read on holiday. I also had the best idea for a theme read in December.

I'm glad I did this sample. I realised that my default way of making a stitch was (a) affecting the written pattern and (b) giving an odd flat edge to the herringbone pattern (as seen on the bottom two repeats of the pattern above). I switched for the top two repeats and it both looks better and works with the written pattern. Phew, hey? I will finish the sample by following the decrease instructions, and with any luck I will be back to the actual cardigan sometime during the week.
