A Sunday fashion treat

A few weeks ago, you might recall, I scanned a page from my Sunday newspaper that suggested that the Well-Dressed Man About Town should be wearing a fitted fair isle cardigan and checked shirt ensemble. It's only fair, then, to show you what today's Sunday paper suggests for the Well-Dressed Woman About Town to wear. Before I do, though, a reminder: it's mid-autumn here and only a few weeks away from the icy, wet chill of winter.

Sadly, my scanner is too small to capture the full majesty of this outfit: you can see the black socks, but you're missing out on the brown gladiator sandals (obviously. What other footwear choice could there be?).
Not only is her skirt expensive, see-through and made of fabric I couldn't honestly call winter-weight, the really worrying part is that she isn't wearing underwear. No, that thing she's wearing under the striped top is a bodysuit. I had a bodysuit back in the day. It looked fine, but at least one of press-studs was always popping. That goodness I wasn't wearing my transparent organza skirt at the time!
