Lots of cats
Aug. 16th, 2005 11:50 am"Did you have a good time in Melbourne?" someone asked me, and I blinked. It was only two weeks ago and yet it feels like years.
One thing I bought while I was there was an embroidery pattern called "Lots of Cats" by Woodcutter's Daughter. It was going to be a redwork piece, but then I realised there were five cats - the same number as I've owned in my life - and I decided to do it in colours instead. Now it's done I'm going to turn it into a cushion.
( Lots of cats )
I also discovered two shops in Melbourne. One is called The Elegant Egg ("Victoria's Number One Egg Decorating Supplier!") and the other is called Yurtworks (one imagines an envious Kublai Khan saying, "I could have built Xanadu out of jarrah!"). I will never need to buy anything from either of these shops, but the fact of their existence makes me happy.
