Not for the likes of me

Ideally, this is a monthly job. In the real world, you'll probably get to it once or twice a year."
Or possibly once every couple of years, at most.
Mind you, the book also suggests that "once a year, have a jeweller check your jewellery for wear and tear" (apparently, "this is also a good time to have your pieces cleaned and polished") so clearly this book is not written for the likes of me.
