Onions have no futures
Jul. 11th, 2008 03:27 pmToday's useless fact: I can never type the word "clininc" "clinic" correctly on the first attempt.
Did you know onion prices were so volatile? Up 400%, down 96%, up 300%, like an allium roller coaster. I'm also fascinated to discover that there is no futures market for onions, if only because it suggests that there are futures markets for all other vegetables. Imagine making your fortune predicting the tricky turnip wave.
Also, I spoke to someone from a town called Carapook today. Isn't that nice word to say?
