Mad cat season
Aug. 25th, 2008 01:13 pmI started coughing on Saturday evening and by Sunday I had turned into a one-woman phlegm machine. So that's... unpleasant.
But I spent Sunday afternoon watching The Muppet Movie, which made me feel better.
Hard to believe when I walked to work in coat, hat and gloves this morning, but the season is beginning to turn. Spring is definitely in the air: the cherry-plum tree has a few early blossoms on it, the daffodils are out and, most obviously, Miss Pink has gone mad. I don't know what it is about the change from winter to spring, but it goes to her head. She gets a wild gleam in her eyes, puts her ears back into the fighter jet position and attempts to climb the walls. It's always entertaining.
Do you ever feel that your spell-checker is trying to make you second-guess yourself? Semagic has underlined 'movie' (and again!) for my attention. It's trying to tell me that I mean 'move' or 'mo vie' instead. And now it's telling me that 'mo' isn't a word either and that I really mean 'moo', while I'm fairly sure I don't mean any of those things. Make up your mind, computer!
