Week in review
Oct. 5th, 2008 03:26 pmFinal essay: written.
Application for post-graduate economics diploma: started.
Chocolate orange bread: made.
Next door's dog: fed, watered and played with.
Clocks: changed.
Next doors are away for the week. I just thought I should mention that in case anyone thought I had broken in and started feeding and playing with their dog for no reason.
How does my computer know when daylight saving starts? That shouldn't freak me out as much as it does, but, well, it does. Particularly because I saw several newspaper articles in the last week reminding people that daylight saving is starting early this year; what a lot of wasted ink that was. There's no need to remind anyone, really, because the computers know.
The chocolate orange bread was an odd thing. On balance, I don't think I liked it. I mean, it worked; it looks just like the picture. But there's a weird sensory disconnect when something that looks chocolate and smells orange ends up tasting like bread.
