Notes from the dispatches
May. 30th, 2009 09:15 amThrilling events in the Texts to the Editor column this week: the texters have had a heated discussion about evolution vs creationism, with all the quality and sophisticated debate that would suggest. The last word so far was from someone called Liggy piggy yesterday, with
As a point of reference, charles darwin was a nasty man and nobody liked him
So there.
Also, the paper yesterday featured a special holiday liftout, which had some FAQs about holidays in Australia. These ranged from the not unreasonable (How many animals can you see at Adelaide Zoo?*) to ones that sound like the start of a bad riddle (Where can I take a dog, a horse and a mountain bike?**) through to the slightly odd (Where can I get warm croissants and coffee while someone strokes a harp? Where can I walk through an eerie fog sculpture?***).
So that's my next holiday sorted.
* More than 1,800 animals from 300 different species.

*** Salamanca Market in Hobart and the National Gallery in Canberra respectively.
