The relaxing way to paint
Apr. 28th, 2010 11:45 amIt was all go chez Daisy when I left for work. The driveway is being resurfaced and the driveway chaps turned up at 7:30 this morning. My mother said last night that her partner, John, would be in sometime during the day to make sure it all went to plan. I thought she meant mid-morning, but five minutes after the driveway chaps arrived, I glanced out the window to see John chatting to them, which is keen given he lives twenty minutes out of town. While I was having breakfast and making my packed lunch, he kept coming in to tell me what was happening. 'There's seven of them! They're going to knock this job over in a hurry.' 'They're backing the truck up the driveway now.' 'There's flames shooting out the bottom of the truck!' Retired men: very much like small boys.
Driving to work, I passed a man painting his front fence while sitting in a deck chair. Comfort while you work.
