Strange diseases I have known

I am about ready for a nap. I have a cold, which makes me, obviously, The Sickest Person In The World. Except it's not a bad cold, so there might be one or two people sicker than me. What's strange is that, apart from yesterday's sore throat, the cold is only manifesting itself on the right side of my face. I am lopsidedly ill. Odd.

A few years ago, the left side of my jaw ached, as though it was bruised, for about three days. Then the ache went away, and the day after that I was so sick. I remember sweeping the floor in the morning and suddenly feeling hot and dizzy, so I sat down on on the sofa for a minute... and then I woke up and it was dark and I'd lost a whole day. I didn't associate that with the jaw problem at all, until a couple of days later when my mother went through the same thing: three days of a jaw ache, a day with no symptoms, then a day of feeling wretched until she slept. What a peculiar bug that was.
