Oh, Amazon. What have I done to make you recommend for me a romance novel called To Catch A Pirate? You say it's because I bought a book by Eva Ibbotson, but that was neither a romance nor about pirates, so I am still perplexed.

Look at this map of Australia. I am absurdly pleased that the City by the Sea is mentioned and bigger cities aren't. Take that, Ballarat. (For those who don't know, The City by the Sea is normally known as Warrnambool, and it can be seen at the very bottom of the map close-up, more or less where it is supposed to be). Also shown: a town called Bindebango.

Yesterday I was minding my own business, just going about my day, when I suddenly thought how much I used to like the anodised aluminium glasses that my cousin's family had. Only I suppose they weren't glasses, being made of aluminium. At any rate, there was a set of them in gold and magenta and emerald and turquoise. I always enjoyed having a glass of water when we went to visit them. I wonder if you can still get anodised aluminium drink ware? Because I would like that.

This week is apparently Social Media Week. The most magical week of the year! This entry has been my contribution.
