Thirteen days in and I have so far heard this month referred to as Rocktober, Frocktober and Booktober for different marketing purposes. I wonder what's so attractive about October for re-naming purposes?
Do you remember I went to that art show last weekend? Everyone who voted in the Most Popular Painting category was also entered in a draw to win a prize just for coming. And the winner was... my mother. Winner of the 'thanks for turning up' prize, that is. Not the painting one. She received her prize yesterday: a voucher for three rose bushes from a local nursery. I didn't get a prize, but I did find a two-dollar coin on the floor of the garage. So that was nice.
