Stars in the Sky
Jan. 29th, 2016 04:57 pmI know you are all on tenterhooks for the latest instalment of my new regular segment, so without further ado: ( How is my finger? )
Let's try writing about something not finger-related. I can talk about other things. I used to be able to.
I'm writing this on my new laptop, which arrived today. I went for a MacBook Air this time. It's so light! That's the point of it, I guess, but still... it's so light! I underestimated how effective Apple's Time Machine backups are. I set up the new laptop before migrating all my data from the old one, only to find that it also migrated my user details too. So now I've got two accounts, which is kind of annoying, and the one that I use is the one from the old laptop, which I had to rename to Alicia Old, which is also annoying. Also, while I knew the Air didn't have a CD drive, I forgot that my version of Office is on CD, so I've got to work out how to install that. So: minor irritations, mostly good.
