I'm blue. Or, to be more accurate, I'm Dulux Rainy Day after a weekend spent painting timber for the new patio. The garage is full of drying planks awaiting a second coat and poor Freddie (the car) has to live outside for a day or so.
There is rain on the air. Sheets of light grey clouds have overcast the sky. Looking out the front door is disconcerting: there is no horizon, as the sea has disappeared in the silver-grey reflection of the clouds above it. It's like the approaching nothingness from The Neverending Story.
I don't get much spam, fortunately, but this morning there was a good one: Warning! Huge ocean wave! from Tsunami Watch. According to this, there was a tsunami heading for Adelaide, due to hit at lunchtime. "Evacuate your family immediately," it advised, or the consequences would be disastrous and far-reaching. I'll say. I live a good 650 kilometres from Adelaide.
