todayiamadaisyAt this time of year, I like to peruse the shop catalogues that come my way in the hope of finding unsuitable gift suggestions. Nothing outrageous has come to my attention this year, although the Pore Cleansing Maching (with 'deep penetrating suction') comes close. I especially liked that it was placed on the 'gifts for everyone' page of the catalogue I was reading.
I would also be inclined to view anyone who gave me a 'Love is friendship set on fire' decorative wall plaque with deep suspicion, although that's not really unsuitable so much as twee.
However, the same catalogue that suggested both of those redeemed itself by offering the most fantastic product ever: the Superhero Starter Kit. For the fabulous low price of $9.95, you get a cape, mask, wrist guards, clothing stickers and 'heroic advice'. Yes, it was in the children's section, but I want one. It would certainly solve my job worries.
All I have to do is (a) work on my superpower, because my current one of finding Rex Harrison films on TV isn't going to help me save the world, and (b) think of a name. I used this and came up with Chlororose, which isn't bad.* Or should I just be The Daisy?
I say we all get one and create a League of Super Fantasticness. Who are you going to be?
* As opposed to Stabber Gal and and Shamaness Lad, which are. Shamaness Lad is too reminiscent of Woman Man.
