The Heart of Love
Apr. 8th, 2016 10:45 pmWhat did I do today?
Not much, actually.
The usual morning mewing from Alistair. I tried going back to bed after feeding him his first course, but he wasn't having that, so I got up about seven for our morning walk and the rest of his breakfast. Normally on Fridays my mother and I go for a walk along the beach path, which takes just over 30 minutes, but this morning she thought the colder air might set off her cough again, so we had a shorter walk around the streets.
I'm not supposed to work Fridays, but I have this year, almost every week. Not today, though, because I did my five things yesterday. I really should work one just as a day to catch up on things, but that wasn't today. Instead I spent the morning doing housework and errands. After lunch I read for a while, then I heard the green waste collection so I went out and did some general garden tidying. And that's about it. A quiet day.
Oh, but it was an exciting mail day. My mother received the draft probate application for John's will. These things take time. Six months of it. I received a $10 voucher from Lincraft (a craft store). One of those things where you earn points when you shop there, and when you get so many points they send you a voucher. Only I can't remember last time I went to Lincraft. I wouldn't have thought I'd have enough points for a voucher, and I don't know what's triggered it now. So... thanks, Lincraft.
