todayiamadaisyDo you know what I like about this time of year? There are some nice tins about, often filled with shortbread. Apparently I like nice tins. I thought that this afternoon and realised that I've turned into my grandmother. It's only a matter of time before I start to have a nip of sherry every night before I go to bed. But I will resist womanfully any urge I get to play Bingo.
I bought a mini-greenhouse a couple of months ago ('mini' meaning 'slightly larger than a toaster') and it is brilliant. It took about two weeks for my sunflower seeds to be big enough to plant out, and then I put some rockmelon (cantaloupe) seeds in and, after a week, they're up and away. Things grow faster in greenhouses! Spread that secret amongst your gardening friends.
