todayiamadaisyI am a sucker for free gifts attached to magazines. It's usually notepads and shopping lists, so I have a drawer full of them. Once it was a small whiteboard, which may be the most useful thing I own, just the right size for taking phone messages or for my mother to come in while I am at work and leave me cryptic messages like 'bins and Bondi Vet!!!' or 'Look at the artichoke!!!' On the down side, the whiteboard means I don't use as many notepads, which is why my free notepad collection is threatening to take over the stationery drawer.
Never mind that now, though. Look at today's bounty:
That's a speculaas mould from a cooking magazine and an owl-shaped needle gauge and row counter from a knitting magazine. I think the numbers on the row counter are too small (they're in his eyes), but mostly my day, it is made.
