Weekly update: This week, a tour!
Back in September, when I was on my death bed with the flu, my mother took a few photos of the old bathroom.
Standing at the bathroom door looking in (note boarded up bath and ratty old cane laundry basket):

Turning slightly to see the shower:

Turning round to see the basin & vanity:

Turning all the way round to look out the door to the laundry and back door:

And what does it look like now?
Standing at the back door looking into the bathroom:

The new shower:

The new basin & vanity:

The view out the door through to the laundry and back door:

Here's my contribution to the effort. I never realised how often I used to sit on the edge of the covered bath until it was replaced by that cupboard, so I bought a (replica) Starck ghost chair so I can sit and put my socks on with class. To my great surprise, my mother loves it. She says it's her second-favourite thing:

What's her favourite thing? You may have noticed the lack of ratty old cane laundry baskets in the new bathroom. That's because that new cupboard has two laundry baskets BUILT IN. The height of sophistication:

Also: a new screen in the bathroom window. We haven't been able to open this window for over twelve months. Not since someone made an escape attempt by sticking his big head through a tiny hole in the last screen. Here he is last night, checking how secure the new one is:

And that's it. All done!
(Just as a note, this is the last of the Dame's contemporary romance novels. Next time: she ventures into non-fiction.)
