It's going to blow

Thank you all for reassuring me on my pronunciation of iPod. It was 100% in favour of EYE-pod, so I think we can all agree Mr EE-pod didn't know what he was talking about.
In all the pronunciation-based excitement, I forgot to mention the front page of yesterday's local paper. As a result of what I can only assume was a lack of any real news, the lead headline, in enormous letters, was
ERUPTION TIME
and the story promised us all that the dormant volcanoes that encircle the City by the Sea would awaken and spew forth lava, killing us all,
at some point in the next 1,000 years.
Not that they want to scare the populace at all.
I could have given them a better story than that from my own day. Perhaps Local woman eats last two mushrooms from home-grown box, composts remains or Local woman can't back out own driveway, blocked in by neighbours' builders. Who wouldn't want to read that?
ETA: Auditor lady just congratulated me on how beautiful my records are. "Everything's exactly where it's meant to be - neatly in folders! Why can't everyone do this?" Yay me. :-)
