A frightful scrawl

Today's paper had a brilliant letter in it. A local high school doesn't permit students to shave their heads, and the paper has recently been doing a bit of a beat-up on the school on behalf of some students who wanted to shave their heads bald for charity and had to make do with going nearly bald instead. So the letter today was from a woman who wrote that she wouldn't be sending her son to this school because he is going prematurely bald and shaves his head to spare himself the embarrassment, and then she signed her name. Yes, she's done sterling work saving him from embarrassment.

I'll cut today's March Meme Madness entry because it's a large image - for some reason LiveJournal won't let me size it the way I normally do. Grrr.
